Promoting cultural and artistic communication, Britain has hosted cultural and artistic activities, exhibitions of the Saudi book, various exhibitions, lectures and symposia highlighting intellectual production in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The most important of these was the Saudi Days in London in July 2004. In the field of sports cooperation, the Saudi-British joint committee signed a cooperation agreement in 1987 in the fields of youth and sports, and through this cooperation, 72 various youth and sports activities were held until the end of 2006. The two countries have memorandum of Understanding in the field of scientific and technical cooperation which was a framework for cooperation between King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and British research institutions. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has received visits by British delegations to build bridges of media cooperation.
