An agreement was exchanged between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation for cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes between King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and the Russian Federal Space Agency. The Saudi side was represented by the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid Al-Faleh and the Russian side by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov. A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of communications and information technology was also exchanged between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Communications and Information of the Russian Federation. The Saudi side was represented by the Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi and the Russian side by Minister of Communications and Information Nikolai Kivorov. A memorandum of understanding was exchanged between the Ministry of Commerce and Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The Saudi side was represented by Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi and the Russian side by Minister of Commerce and Industry Denis Mantorov. The Saudi-Russian roadmap was also exchanged between the Ministry of Commerce and Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. The Saudi side was represented by Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi and the Russian side by Minister of Energy Alexander Novak. A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of labor, development and social protection was also exchanged between the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation. The Saudi side was represented by Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf and Russian side by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Maxim Tomblin. An executive program for cultural cooperation was also exchanged between the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
