Cairo, Dhu-AlHijjah 22, 1437, Sep 24, 2016, SPA -- Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul-Ghait has signed with UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon a new arrangement on promotion of cooperation between the two organizations, it was reported here today. In a statement released here, the Arab League Secretariat General said that the two secretaries general signed the agreement on the sidelines of the ongoing 71st session of the United Nations general assembly. The spokesman of the AL Mahmoud Afifi said that the new agreement is an amendment of the previous one, calling for consolidating ties of cooperation in a number of fields, including prevention and solving of conflicts, combating terrorism and organized crime across borders, keeping, building and making peace, protection of human rights and assisting refugees and the displaced. --SPA 03:42 LOCAL TIME 00:42 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
