Athens, Shawwal 27, 1437, Aug 1, 2016, SPA -- Nearly 200 firefighters, assisted by water-dropping aircraft, fire engines and volunteers, are fighting a large forest fire that has raged through the Greek island of Evia for three days. No injuries have been reported, but a village, a monastery and a small hotel have been evacuated, while the blaze threatened the small seaside town of Limni overnight Monday. The hotel was destroyed, along with a holiday home, a restaurant, and a couple of outhouses, AP reported. A ferry boat remains on standby, together with dozens of pleasure craft and fishing boats to evacuate Limni if necessary, but a change in the direction of the wind turned the flames away. Five planes and five helicopters are taking part in the efforts. The cause of the fire is still unclear. --SPA 18:05 LOCAL TIME 15:05 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
