Rome, Ramadan 25, 1437, June 30, 2016, SPA -- About 250-300 bodies are trapped inside the wreck of the migrant ship that sank last year and was recovered this week, an Italian Navy officer says, dpa reported. "The recovery of a fishing boat of this size, from a depth of about 400 meters had never been done before; it was a complex operation," Rear Admiral Pietro Covino says, as quoted by the ANSA news agency. Covino speaks from a Sicilian port where the wreck has been towed for inspection by forensic doctors. He says the Italian government has earmarked 9.5 million euros (10.5 million dollars) for the entire recovery operation. The April 18, 2015, shipwreck on the sea stretch between Libya and Sicily was survived by only 28 people, while at least 700 were reported dead or missing. Only 169 bodies have so far been found. --SPA 18:00 LOCAL TIME 15:00 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
