Kuwait, Sha'ban 25, 1437, June 01, 2016, SPA -- UN Secretary General Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed on Tuesday urged Yemeni parties involved in the peace consultations, currently being held in Kuwait, to offer mutual concessions in order to reach a peaceful settlement to the conflict in their country, in light of suffering of the Yemenis and the lack of basic services. In a press statement after three sessions of consultations he carried out with the Yemeni delegations on Tuesday, the UN envoy said that the suffering of the Yemeni people and the lack of basic services should turn into an incentive to reach a rapid and comprehensive solution especially as we approach Ramadan. He added that we continue to urge the parties to make concessions and put the interests of Yemen and Yemenis above all. It is about time that all the parties propose solutions away from win or lose calculations. --SPA 03:33 LOCAL TIME 00:33 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
