Tokyo, Rajab 1, 1437, Apr 8, 2016, SPA -- The bodies of the remaining two crew members of a military plane that crashed in southern Japan were located Friday, the government said. The other four bodies and part of the wreckage were found around 500 meters east of Mt Takakuma on the island of Kyushu the previous day, dpa reported. The search team was preparing to transport all the bodies to the Kanoya air base, where the jet took off Wednesday. "It is extremely regrettable and sad that competent crew members with a bright future ahead became involved in such an accident," said Defense Minister Gen Nakatani told reporters Friday. The military has given no indication as to why the crash might have occurred. Nakatani said the ministry will investigate the cause of the accident and do its utmost to prevent a recurrence. The 15-metre twin-engine jet, which had been inspecting air navigation facilities, disappeared from radar at around 2:35 pm Wednesday (0535 GMT) about 10 kilometers north of the Kanoya base, Defense Ministry officials said. There was thick cloud around the base near the time of the crash. --SPA 11:54 LOCAL TIME 08:54 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
