Riyadh, Jumada II 19, 1437, March 28, 2016, SPA -- Majlis Al-Shura held here today its 28th ordinary session under the chairmanship of its Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh. Among other things, the council approved the draft statute of the Arab Court of Human Rights, following a discussion of a report submitted by Chairman of Committee for Islamic and Judicial Affairs Dr. Faleh Al-Sughaier. The bill urged joining the panel, showing that the court's jurisdiction assigns it to settle only the facts committed after the Statute enters into force, that its jurisdiction is complementary to national jurisdictions and never considered a replacement of any in accordance with the system, and that the bill doesn't contradict the Islamic Sharia law or State's regulations and conventions. -- SPA 18:42 LOCAL TIME 15:42 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
