Jeddah, Jumada II 5, 1437, Mar 14, 2016, SPA -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned in the strongest terms, the suicidal car bomb attack that was detonated at a crowded transport hub in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Sunday, 13 March 2016, killing at least 32 people and wounding 125. In sending his heartfelt condolence to the families of the victims of the attack and his wishes for the fast recovery of the injured, Secretary General Iyad bin Ameen Madani extended the support of the OIC to the efforts of Turkey in its fight against terrorism and expressed his confidence in the Turkish Government's efforts in bringing to justice the people behind the tragedy. The Secretary General expressed the deep concern of the OIC on the impact of the increasing number of terrorist acts in the Member States and in many other countries. He called for concerted efforts and further coordination and collaboration at the regional and international levels to reduce its causes in order to ensure peace and security for all the nations in the world.
