Al-Harithi said that the Saudi relief committees and campaigns under supervision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, are good examples of such rapid response. "The committees since their inception until date have provided SR 3.833.243.162 in Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, East Asian countries and Somalia. These assistance included relief, food, medical, educational, social and developmental programs in addition to the Kingdom's direct assistance to governments and formal bodies in the affected countries," he added. Dr. Al-Harithi stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided assistance to the Syrian crisis since its beginning, "the Kingdom seeks to alleviate the Syrian suffering by all humanitarian and relief means. The kingdom provided great facilitations to the Syrian people, including measures of accommodation and movement in addition to allowing the Syrian people who live in the Kingdom to bring their families and relatives from Syria to live with them unconditionally. 343,150 Syrian are free registered in the public education and university education in addition to providing free medical services in all government hospitals for the Syrian people in the Kingdom and giving them permits to commence business in all regions of the Kingdom," Al-Harithi said.
