Ndjamena, Jumada I 25, 1437, Mar 5, 2016, SPA -- African coast countries announced the formation of an intervention force and an early warning center to face terrorist threats in the region. Defense ministers of Mauritania, Mali, Chad, Burkina Faso, and Niger decided in a meeting in the Chadian capital of Ndjamena to form units of special forces to swiftly respond to dangers and attacks launched by terrorist armed groups active in the African coast region. In a statement, the Secretary General of the group Najm Al-Haj Mohammed said the new force will be composed of groups each of them gathers around 100 soldiers which will be deployed in areas where fighters of Al-Qaeda and Daesh are active.
