SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, Rabi'II 01, 1437, January 11, 2016, SPA -- Federal authorities say they have discovered more than $4 million worth of cocaine stashed in bushes along Puerto Rico's north coast amid an overall increase in drug seizures in the U.S. Caribbean, according to AP. U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Monday that some 340 pounds (154 kilograms) of cocaine were found at a popular beach in the town of Isabela. One man was arrested. Authorities said a 22-foot (7-meter) fiberglass vessel was found at Montones beach late last week, along with a man who was trying to flee. The drug seizure is one of the largest in recent months as a group of federal agencies including the U.S. Coast Guard report an increase in cocaine and marijuana seizures in waters around Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands in the past year. --SPA 00:32 LOCAL TIME 21:32 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
