King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Int'l Prize for Translation laureates announced 2 Riyadh

He said the prize's secretariat general has received 118 translated works on its five domains from 24 countries in ten languages. He announced that Tulaitula School for Translation, an affiliate of the Spanish University of Amentia, won the prize allotted for institutions and commissions, in the field of physical sciences from other languages into Arabic, it was co-shared by Dr. Fahd Dakhil Al-Osaimi, a Saudi, and Dr. Al-Sayyed Ahmed Al-Sayyed Ahmed, an Egyptian, in the field of human sciences from other languages into Arabic, the prize went to each of Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sibaibani and Dr. Miteb Al-Rasheed, from Saudi Arabia, on one hand and Dr. Lutif Amer Jadidiya and Dr. Imad Al-Hadi Al-Mazyoub, from Tunisia, on the other, in the field of human sciences from Arabic language into other languages, it was co-awarded to Dr. Roberto Totoli, Italian, on one hand and Dr. Mohammed Abtawe, Moroccan, and Dr. Salem Al-Hosin, from Britain, who shared the translation of one book, and in the field of individuals, it was divided between Professor Mathio Geder, from France, and Dr. Saleh Almany, from Syria. --SPA 14:21 LOCAL TIME 11:21 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
