Kuala Lumpur, Dhu-AlQa'dah 22, 1436, Sep 6, 2015, SPA -- Recovery workers found more bodies from a boat that sank off Malaysia four days ago, bringing the death toll to 57 people, a district police chief said Sunday. The bodies of 24 women and 33 men have been retrieved, said Hilir Perak district police chief Mohamad Shuhaily Mohamad Zain. All were taken to hospitals for forensics examination, he added. The 20 people who survived the accident are suspected undocumented Indonesian migrants, and they are being detained as the investigation continues, dpa quoted Mohamad Shuhaily as saying. The 12-metre-long wooden boat was believed to be carrying some 70 Indonesians when it sank early Thursday about 30 kilometers off Sabak Bernam. Survivors told rescuers that the boat was battered by huge waves, causing it to list before it sank. --SPA 20:49 LOCAL TIME 17:49 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
