Cairo, Rabi'I 21, 1437, Jan 1, 2016, SPA -- Two more bodies from a Nile boat sinking were recovered by Egyptian rescuers Friday, bringing the death toll to 15, the state Middle East News Agency reported. According to dpa, two people were rescued with injuries sustained from the late Thursday accident in Kafr el-Sheikh governorate, which lies in the Nile Delta, the agency said, citing an unnamed security official. Earlier on Friday, state television said at least 13 people died in the accident, which happened about 140 kilometers north of Cairo. A witness told the broadcaster that the boat was carrying 22 people when it sank. The boat was used to transport local people from one side of the river to the other.
