By 10 am (1800 GMT) the storm packing winds of up to 112 kilometresper hour had dumped more than 2.5 centimeters of rain on downtown SanFrancisco, and more than 20 centimeters in the wine-making community about 100 kilometers to the north, according to the US National Weather Service.
