Prince Miteb bin Abdullah promotes US-Saudi relations history spanning more than 80 years 3 Riyadh

During the month of February 1962, the late King Saud bin Abdulaziz visited the United States again, and met with US President John F. Kennedy to promote economic relations and meet the security needs of the kingdom. In 1966, King Faisal met with US President Lyndon Johnson and discussed with him the founding of a Saudi-US partnership for development projects in the Kingdom. In 1971, the late King Faisal met with US President Richard Nixon in Washington and in 1974, the joint Saudi-US Economic Committee was established. King Khaled bin Abdulaziz Al Saud visited America in the month of October 1978 AD, and in the same year, US President Jimmy Carter visited Riyadh and met with King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and discussed with him bilateral relations and what is known as a the project of President Carter to move the peace process between the Arabs and Israel. The United States witnessed official visits by a number of princes including the late Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. In 1985, the late King Fahd bin Abdulaziz visited the United States and met with US President Ronald Reagan in Washington while President George W. Bush visited the kingdom three times.
