Obama Travels to China, Myanmar, Australia This Month

Washington, Muharram 11, 1436, Nov 4, 2014, SPA -- US President Barack Obama will travel to China, Myanmar, and Australia from November 10 to 16 to attend three regional and international forums and to hold bilateral meetings with officials, the White House said Tuesday. In China from November 10 to 12, Obama will attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit and APEC chief-executive summit before participating in a state visit with President Xi Jinping, the White House said in a statement. In Myanmar through November 14, the U.S. president will attend the East Asia Summit (EAS) and the U.S.-Association of East Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit in Nay Pi Taw and hold a bilateral meeting with Myanmar President Thein Sein. In Rangoon, Myanmar, Obama will meet with opposition leader and democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi and participate in an event with future leaders of South East Asian countries.
