Information Spokesman of the Civil Defense forces in Hajj Col. Abdullah Al-Orabi Al-Harthi stressed success of the Civil Defense's plans regarding facing emergencies during ascending pilgrims in Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina. Regarding Jamarat Bridge, Col. Al-Harthi said that there are 46 points in different areas of the bridge. "The teams of the civil defense are managed to evacuate 92 sick and elder pilgrims in the first day of stoning," he added. Al-Harthi added that there are 3,000 qualified officers and soldiers of the Civil Defense are found at the terminals of the Holy Mosque in Makkah to deal with any emergency. For his part, the spokesman of the Red Crescent Bandar Barahmiah said his men dealt with 1,200 cases in Arafat, out of them 45 critical cases were evacuated by airborne ambulance.
