Hajj/ Kingdom's Grand Mufti addresses pilgrims from Namera mosque at Arafat valley

Arafat, Saudi Arabia, Dhu-AlHijjah 09, 1435, October 03, 2014, SPA -- A big gathering of pilgrims coming from all over the world flocked early today and lined up at Namera mosque, located at Arafat valley, to listen to Arafat speech which was delivered by The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of Council of Senior Scholars and General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, before performing Dhuhr (noon) and Asr (afternoon) prayers, each shortened and performed one after the other, as per a practice by Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) during his one-time Hajj nearly 14 Hijra centuries ago. The 110,000 sq.m. area mosque and the plains around it in Arafat valley were fully congested with rows of worshippers from males and females. Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah region, who is also Chairman of Hajj Central Committee, was leading worshippers in the front line. --More 14:17 LOCAL TIME 11:17 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
