KSA Elected to Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons' Executive Council

The Hague, Nov 27, 2018, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has been elected to the executive council of Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons for 2019-21 term, during a conference for states signatory to Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Accord, in its 23rd edition, held here, Saudi Ambassador to the Kingdom of Holland Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Abu Himaidan announced. The election, the ambassador said, took place under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince to enhance and introduce the role of the Kingdom, on the international stage, and its impact, in regard of banning chemical weapons, pointing to the Kingdom preservation of its seat, in the executive council of the organization, since 1997. -- SPA 21:54 LOCAL TIME 18:54 GMT 0034 www.spa.gov.sa/w795339
