Amman, 04 Ramadan,1437 AH, 09 June,2016 , SPA -- The Saudi National Campaign to support brothers in Syria has distributed through its office in Lebanon 1250 food parcels to Syrian refugees residing in Lebanese cities of Baalbek and Al-Ayroniah, as part of the ninth and tenth stations of Ramadan program. The Campaign office in Lebanon works to follow up the distribution of food parcels to Syrian refugees in Lebanon according to the mechanism of action designed for this purpose; the project benefited 1003 Syrian families comprising of 6024 people. The Director of the Office of the campaign in Lebanon, Walid Al-Jalal, pointed out that the food parcels have been provided for Syrian refugees living in the two cities, noting that the distributions will reach other areas of the Lebanese cities where there are Syrian refugees. For his part, the regional director of the Saudi National Campaign to support brothers in Syria, Dr. Badr bin Abdulrahman Al-Samhan, stressed that the campaign takes great care of Syrian refugees as they are in a humanitarian situation requiring to stand with them and will continue distributing food parcels in Turkey, Lebanon and inside Syria during the next stages targeting the distribution of 300,000 breaking fast meals and 30,000 food parcels during this holy month of Ramadan. -- SPA 14:17 LOCAL TIME 11:17 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
