"The international efforts must respect principles of the United Nations Charter. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation stresses that terrorism can not only be combated by the security or military means, but by all possible means at political, economic, social and intellectual levels," he added. "The OIC stresses importance of integrating young people and women into efforts and processes of decision-making regarding with violent extremism. The children and young people are the future of society. Failure to protect their rights can contribute to provide adequate atmosphere for crime and violent extremism," Al-Mo'allemi added. He pointed out that the OIC expresses its grave concern over growing intolerance and discrimination against Muslims which leads to escalation of Islamophobia. "In this regard, the organization of Islamic Cooperation calls upon all member states to prevent any claim of religious discrimination, hostility or violence. The organization stresses importance of dialogue among religions and cultures," he added.
