The Prize for The Service to Islam 2016 has been awarded to: Sheikh Dr. Saleh Abdullah bin Humaid, Consultant at the Royal Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Member of the Commission of Senior Religious Scholars and Imam and Preacher of the Holy Mosque in Makkah. The one for Islamic Studies went to Professor Abdullah bin Yousif Al-Ghunaim, President of the Kuwaiti Studies and Research Center in Kuwait. The Arabic Language and Literature prize on the topic Analysis of the Arabic Poetic Text, was shared by Professor Muhammad Al-Ghazwani Muftah, a Moroccan, and Professor Mohammad Abdul Muttalib Mustafa, Egyptian. The Prize for Medicine on the topic: Clinical Application of Next Generation Genetics, was also divided between Professor Han Grrit Brunner and Professor Joris Andre Veltman, both from Netherlands.
