BERLIN, Muharram 22, 1437, Nov 4, 2015, SPA -- German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced a plan Tuesday to register and distribute incoming refugees evenly throughout the European Union, UPI reported. The Local quoted Merkel as saying in the future, refugees would be stopped at EU borders before being processed and sent to one of the Union's 28 member states, rather than passing directly into the visa-free Schengen Area. Those who failed to pass asylum requirements would face speedier deportation, she said.
