Djibouti Condemns Houthi Militia’s Launching of Ballistic Missiles, Drones towards Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, March 20, 2022, SPA -- The Republic of Djibouti has strongly condemned the Houthi terrorist attack with drones as well as ballistic and cruise missiles that targeted the water desalination station in Al-Shafeeq, Saudi Aramco facility in Jazan, and a power station in Dhahran Al Janub in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Djibouti also denounced this flagrant aggression which threatens the security and stability of the region, affirming that this escalation represents a rejection of the call of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for the peace efforts and initiatives in Yemen. Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti and Dean of Diplomatic Corps to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dya Eddine Said Bamakhrama stressed his country’s support to the right of the Coalition Forces to take necessary procedures to deter this aggression in accordance with the international laws and norms.
