King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Award for Translation Announces Winners of Tenth Session

Riyadh, June 13, 2022, SPA -- King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Award for Translation has announced the names of the winners of its tenth session for the year 1443 AH - 2021. After reviewing the report of the scientific committee of the award, the Board of Trustees of the award decided to award the prize in its six branches, including Translation Award for Institutions; Translation Award in the Humanities from Arabic into Other Languages; Translation Award in the Humanities from Other Languages into Arabic; Translation in the Natural Sciences from Arabic into Other Languages; Translation in the Natural Sciences from Other Languages into Arabic, and Translation Award for Individual Efforts. The winners are announced as follows: - Translation Award for Institutions: (Obeikan Company: Publishing and Translation Department / Al Arabi Publishing & Distribution) - Translation Award in the Humanities from Other Languages into Arabic: ( Dr. Izz ddeen Khattabi Riffi for his translation of the French book "Beyond Nature & Culture" by Philippe Descola. / Dr. Abdelnour Kharraki for his translation of the English book " Data Mining for the Social Sciences: An Introduction" by Paul Attewell, David Monaghan, and Darren Kwong.) - Translation in the Natural Sciences from Other Languages into Arabic: (Dr. Sausan Hassan Al-Sawwaf and Dr. Laila Saleh Babsil for their translation of the book "Physics in Biology and Medicine" by Paul Davidovits from English. / Dr. Yahya Khlaif and Dr. Abdullatif Al-Shuhail for their translation of the English book "Introduction to carbon capture and sequestration" by Berend Smit, Jeffrey A Reimer, and Curtis M Oldenburg.) - Translation Award for Individual Efforts in Translation: (Dr. Hamza Qablan Al-Mozainy, Saudi nationality, Dr. Murtazo Saydumarov, Uzbek nationality and Dr. Samir Mina Masoud Greeis, Egyptian-German nationality.) The awards in the categories of the Humanities from Arabic into Other Languages and the Natural Sciences from Arabic into Other Languages were withheld.
