Riyadh, April 05, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Okaz newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s affirmation of its full standing by and the support with all its capabilities for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the decisions and measures being taken by King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to maintain Jordan’s security and stability demonstrates the consistent approach of Saudi Arabia’s policy at the regional and global levels and its pivotal role in contributing to the stability of world countries. Saudi Arabia’s position is based on the close and deep-rooted bonds of brotherhood, belief and destiny as well as their common history and indivisible security that bind the two countries, the newspaper added. Since the era of the founder, King Abdulaziz, and until this prosperous era, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always seeks to preserve the security of the countries, as there are numerous situations to demonstrate this fact, the newspaper concluded. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the closing ceremony of the National Cultural Awards Initiative, which will be held on Monday 19 April 2021, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, is an important cultural event that will witness honoring creative people in the cultural field, including entrepreneurs and young people. The newspaper added that this patronage is considered an indicator for the appreciation and interest the cultural sector receives from the leadership under the Saudi Vision 2030 that increased the value of culture and granted it a high status for being one of the components of the quality of life and a main element that shapes the national identity. Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, said that the ministry, through organizing the event, seeks to provide permanent honorary paths for cultural achievements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and celebrate the accomplishments of Saudi creativity makers, being individuals, groups or institutions in all cultural sectors. Al-Yaum and Al-Bilad newspapers reported in their editorials that the early and unprecedented precautionary measures implemented by Saudi Arabia to combat the COVID-19 pandemic have succeeded in curbing the spread of the virus, as the world has recognized the effectiveness of Saudi measures. The newspapers further said that the Kingdom tops the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States in the rates of recovery from COVID-19. This recovery rate in Saudi Arabia, which is 96.9%, is the result of tremendous efforts that were and are still made to confront this pandemic. The vaccines are the solution against the COVID-19 and its availability varies according to the capabilities of countries in providing it to its citizens. Moreover, Saudi Arabia’s provision of the vaccines free for everyone represents the tremendous efforts exerted to maintain the safety of the people, the newspapers added.
