Riyadh, February 03, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s approach, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, is demonstrated by those initiatives and sacrifices since the beginning of the Coronavirus crisis, as the main goal of these efforts is to provide relief and assistance to all people in any part of the world regardless time or place. In this regard, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a financial contribution memorandum with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) to support the Global Muslim Philanthropy Fund for Children (GMPFC) by providing a total amount of USD 9,162,000 to implement two key projects in Bangladesh and Pakistan. The first project will support health and nutrition services for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh in partnership with UNICEF, benefiting 130,000 individuals. As for the second project, vaccination coverage and health services will be improved in some parts of Pakistan, benefiting 1,368,000 individuals, as part of the campaign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques that aims to relieve the Pakistani people, the paper added. The newspaper concluded that these data represent the unlimited humanitarian efforts exerted by the Kingdom's government in order to protect human beings. They also represent the Saudi approach, which reflect its regional and international status and influence. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the efforts of addressing the Coronavirus pandemic and its repercussions are focused on precautionary measures, providing free health services, and community commitment to precautionary measures. As a result, these comprehensive efforts contributed to achieving the best results that are commended by the World Health Organization. This Saudi success today requires a high community responsibility to constantly implement the preventive and precautionary measures, especially with the reported increase in the number of confirmed, active and critical cases. The success made in managing the pandemic is linked to public awareness and community commitment. Therefore, the wise leadership is keen to gradually return to normal life with the continuation of preventive measures.
