Jeddah, Oct 07, 2020, SPA -- Participants in a virtual workshop, organized here today by the Union of News Agency of the Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA-OIC), warned from post-coronavirus COVID-19 erroneous information in news industry, citing the deep impact of news forging on the future of media and digital nationalization. The workshop, titled the Post-coronavirus COVID-19 future of digital information, was held in the participation of 150 media representatives from the Islamic world, in partnership with the Media Department at OIC and Islamic Broadcasting Stations Union. The workshop discussed the role of government-run media as it is not affected by commercial factors and ad industry problems. Addressing the workshop, Dr. Ammar Bakkar, a digital information expert, confirmed that the crises accelerated several changes trends, highlighting six fundamental changes in the post-corona information industry. He put them as the vast economic impacts, increase of remote media actions, increase of data and graphics journalism, increase of focusing on local society, emergence of initiatives and fast reactions, and emergence of more options and fast changes.
