Ministry of Islamic Affairs: Lessons to Be Held Again in Mosques Starting from Today

Riyadh, June 11, 2020, SPA -- The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance has issued a decision to allow holding lessons in mosques of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia starting from today 24 June, 2020, adding that speeches must be presented immediately after the prayer with a maximum of 10 minutes duration, and with regard to lessons, the lesson must be compatible with the protocol of mosques opening duration; and that does not exceed half an hour. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Aqil, affirmed that the Ministry is in continuous communication with the concerned authorities, confirming that the decision to allow the return of lessons and lectures in mosques is conditional on the commitment to the protocols of mosques opening and closure duration. He also said that the memorizing Holy Quran sessions in the mosques shall continue education and lectures remotely until further notice.
