Riyadh, Aug 7, 2020, SPA -- Jeddah Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (JMRCC) received a call that a Turkish sailor in his thirties on board a tanker flying the flag of Marshall Islands (STI AQUA) needs an emergency medical evacuation due to his high temperature, the official spokesperson for the border guards, Commodore Mesfer Al-Quraini said. He further said that JMRCC located the tanker in the vicinity of Aramco port in Jazan region, then the Command and Control Center in Jazan was briefed on the case. The sailor has been already evacuated today, on Friday and transferred to Prince Mohammed bin Nasser Hospital in Jazan, while taking all necessary precautionary medical measures for protection from COVID-19.
