Riyadh, April 07, 2020, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), since its establishment in May 2015 until March 2020, implemented 1,255 projects in various needy countries and peoples of the world with a total value of 4, 368,256,000 US dollars in cooperation with 144 local, regional and international partners. The Republic of Yemen came in the forefront of the supported countries with 68.45% of the projects, followed by the State of Palestine with 8.18%, then Syria with 6.61%, then Somalia with 4.39%. The Center implemented in the Republic of Yemen until last March 453 projects valued at 2, 990,268,000 US dollars in cooperation with 80 partners. The health sector had 204 projects, 79 projects in the food security sector, 26 projects in supporting and coordinating humanitarian operations, and 21 projects in early recovery, 27 projects in the water and environmental sanitation sector, 26 projects in the housing sector, 21 projects in protection, 15 projects in the educational sector, 7 projects in logistics services and 7 other projects in nutrition and 1 project in emergency communications, as well as 19 projects in other sectors. The Center implemented 84 projects for the needy people in the State of Palestine valued at 357,372,000 US dollars in cooperation with 17 partners, where it implemented 19 projects in the health sector, 31 projects in food security, 11 projects in housing, 11 other projects in the education sector, two projects in logistics services, two projects in water and environmental sanitation, two also in early recovery, a project in protection, a project in supporting and coordinating humanitarian operations, and 4 projects in several other sectors. The center implemented 211 projects in Syria valued at 288,851,000 US dollars, in cooperation with 40 partners, the food security sector had 78 projects, 52 projects in the shelter sector, 36 projects in the health sector, 11 projects in education, 4 projects in charity, 4 projects in protection, 3 projects in water and environmental sanitation sector, 3 other projects in early recovery, two projects in the nutrition sector, one project in logistics and another project in supporting and coordinating humanitarian operations, as well as 16 projects in other sectors.
