Saudi HRC President Reviews KSA's Human Rights Efforts with EU Special Representative for Human Rights

Brussels, Dec 12, 2019, SPA -- President of Human Rights Commission (HRC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Alawwad, held a meeting here today with the EU Special Representative for Human Rights, Eamon Gilmore. During the meeting, Dr. Alawwad reviewed with Gilmore, the Kingdom's efforts to support human rights and empower women. He also cited the reforms being witnessed by the Kingdom in this area according to the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to reform all state facilities, particularly human rights, where 60 decisions were issued in all aspects of human rights, including 22 dedicated for women's empowerment. He stressed that the Kingdom is achieving qualitative leaps in the field of human rights and is tirelessly working to achieve sustainable development, the rule of law, justice and equality.
