Eighth Session on UN Convention against Corruption Concludes in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, Dec 20, 2019, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in partnership with the United Arab Emirates, succeeded in preparing and issuing a resolution from the 8th session on the Conference of the States Parties (COSP8) to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, unanimously by all the states parties to the agreement (which number 186 countries), thereby enhancing efforts to protect integrity, combat corruption and enhance transparency in the states parties. The COSP8 concluded its activities at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center today by issuing the "Abu Dhabi Declaration". More than 3,000 participants from 185 countries attended the conference which was held between 16th and 20th December. The delegation of the Kingdom was headed by the Chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, Mazen bin Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Kahmous with the membership of representatives from (Presidency of State Security, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, the Public Prosecution, the Board of Grievances and the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency), and a number of specialists in Commission.
