New York, October 24, 2019, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has called on the international community and the United Nations to act to force Houthi militias to stop planting mines (death traps) that cause dozens of civilian casualties, and to take urgent measures to counter Houthi weapons stockpiles and disarm this terrorist militia. This came during the Kingdom's address to the Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee) in the session held on item 47 (Mine Action). The address was delivered by the member of the Kingdom's Permanent Mission to the United Nations, Second Secretary Faisal bin Saeed Al-Bishi, who reviewed Houthis' planting of mines and Saudi efforts to clear them. --SPA 02:20 LOCAL TIME 23:20 GMT 0067 www.spa.gov.sa/w1196870
