In 1418H, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, when he was the Governor of Riyadh Region, paid a first visit to the Sultanate of Brunei at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei. During the visit, King Salman, when he was the Governor of Riyadh, held a number of meetings with the officials in Brunei and visited a number of popular landmarks in Brunei Dar Al-Salam. In 1437H, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received in Riyadh Deputy Minister of Defense of the Sultanate of Brunei Lieutenant General Dato Abdulaziz Mohammed Tameet where they reviewed fields of cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense. The officials of the two countries participate in the events and occasion of the two countries. In 1437H, Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, met with the Sultan of Brunei.
