GCC interior ministers pay tribute to efforts of King Salman to enhance GCC joint action

Riyadh, Safar 29, 1438, November 29, 2016, SPA -- GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, conveyed the appreciation and gratitude of the GCC interior ministers, who have just concluded in Riyadh their 35th meeting, of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his strenuous efforts to enhance the joint march of the GCC member states aiming to achieve the aspirations of the citizens of the GCC member countries in seeing the goals of the group implemented. In a statement following the meeting, Al-Zayani said that the meeting, held under the chairmanship of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister, discussed a number of key security issues and took the appropriate decisions, particularly in the field of communications security. They also lauded the performance of participants in the joint military drill recently held in Bahrain, praising the Bahraini authorities for the effort they have exerted to make the event a success. The ministers denounced air attacks launched by Houthi militias towards Makkah recently, confirming full support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in defense for Muslims sanctities.
