Riyadh, Rajab 08, 1437, April 15, 2016, SPA -- Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir stressed the depth of relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Turkey, saying that the views of the two countries are identical on many issues and the Saudi Turkish relations have recently reached advanced levels, noting the three visits by the Turkish president to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the recent historic visit to Turkey by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud during which the King chaired the Kingdom's delegation to the 13th session of the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Al-Jubeir made these remarks during an interview with the Saudi TV Channel on the sidelines of meetings of the OIC summit in Istanbul on Thursday. He said that the visit by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Turkey was successful and resulted in the signing of an agreement for the establishment of a coordination council between the two countries which covers several fields, including diplomatic, media, cultural, political, trade, military and military industrialization, security and others, pointing out that the joint teams from the two sides will begin work on activating the agreement. Al-Jubeir noted that the speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques during the Islamic summit focused on the importance of Islamic solidarity, the importance of closing ranks and confronting extremism and terrorism, as well as finding a solution to the Palestinian cause that leads to the establishment of a Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital. The speech also confirmed the importance of adhering to the principles of good neighborliness and non-interference in the affairs of other countries and the risks of interventions in the affairs of other countries.
