New Delhi, Dhu-AlHijjah 14, 1437, Sep 15, 2016, SPA -- Two Indian teachers who were abducted by unknown militants in Libya in July 2015 have been released, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj said Thursday according to dpa. "I am happy to inform that T Gopalakrishna (AP) and C BalaramKishan (Telangana) who were captive in Libya since July 29, 2015 have been rescued," Swaraj posted on Twitter. Gopalakrishna, who belongs to India's Andhra Pradesh state, and Balaramkishan from Telangana state, worked at Sirte University in northern Libya. They were kidnapped by a militant group at a checkpoint about 50 kilometres from Sirte as they tried to make their way to Tripoli airport.
