For his part, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, the foreign minister, said this visit is part and parcel of our continual consultation and coordination of positions as regards the protection of the Kingdom's interests in the region and the world at large. Al-Jubeir said "we are playing an important role in the stability, peace and security of the region and solving its problems". He added that "we are determined to work with our allies in the United States and others in the world to reach that end, be it the anti-terror war or achieving stability in the Middle East or trying to start a political progress in Syria through the application of UN resolution No. 2254 or bringing about peace between the Israelis and Palestinians as well as restoring the stability in Yemen". Al-Jubeir added that "unfortunately, our region is witnessing a number of challenges making finding solutions to these challenges something of utmost importance in terms of the future of the region and the world.
