Hanoi, Jumada II 24, 1437, Apr 2, 2016, SPA -- Vietnam's police chief was inaugurated as president Saturday to serve a five-year term, dpa reported. Tran Dai Quang, who led the Ministry of Public Security, was ratified by the National Assembly in Hanoi 460 out 465 of the ruling Communist Party members voting in his favour. The 59-year-old Quang was nominated to lead the single-party state in January. In his inaugural speech, Quang said he was "determined to strengthen the economic reform and integration process."
