Geneva, Jumada II 17, 1437, Mar 26, 2016, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has condemned the continuing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, including the occupation of territories and building of settlements. In a speech before the United Nations Human Rights Council, Faisal Trad, the permanent representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations in Geneva, said Israel was accustomed to expel Palestinian population out of their homes to build illegal settlements in a flagrant violation of the Palestinian peoples’ rights and contradictory practice to paragraph 6 of article 49 of Geneva Fourth Convention. He referred to the International Justice Tribunal's repeated resolution, illegitimating the building of settlements as the territories were usurped by Israel since 1967. He added that Saudi Arabia confirms that just and comprehensive peace is a strategic option, the peace process is a comprehensive and integral one that could not be divided and peace could not be achieved without the Israeli withdrawal from all the Palestinian and Arab territories, including the Syrian Golan Heights until the 1967 parallel, and Palestinian independent state be established with Al-Quds as its capital.
