Washington, Shawwal 4, 1437, Jul 9, 2016, SPA -- US President Barack Obama will return home from a trip to Europe one day early, cutting short a planned visit in Spain in order to travel to Dallas in the wake of an attack that killed five police officers and wounded seven others. Obama will travel to Spain on Saturday after the NATO summit in Warsaw, but will scale back his planned activities. Obama will meet Sunday with Spanish officials in Madrid and US troops in Rota, but will no longer Seville for a cultural programme, the White House says, dpa reported. Obama will instead visit Dallas early next week. "The president will continue the work to bring people together to support our police officers and communities, and find common ground by discussing policy ideas for addressing the persistent racial disparities in our criminal justice system," spokesman Josh Earnest says. -- SPA 04:08 LOCAL TIME 01:08 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
