Makkah, Sha'ban 16, 1437, May 23, 2016, SPA -- The Makkah-based Muslim World League today denounced Iran's position rejecting to sign an agreement on Hajj arrangements for this year, holding the Iranian regime responsible on dashing away the chance for thousands of Iranians planning to perform Hajj, Umrah and visit the prophet this year. In a statement, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki, the Secretary General of MWL, said that, since long, the Iranian regime was not complying with Hajj security arrangements, jeopardizing the lives of its citizens through adopting violent and political practice of Hajj contrary to what the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all Muslim countries have agreed upon, particularly that Hajj is devoted to worshipping and never any other objective. The Hajj policy has given ripe over the last decades, compared to Hajj 1407H. when hundreds of Iranians were killed in political-oriented skirmishes with Hajj organizers. --SPA 21:12 LOCAL TIME 18:12 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
