At the outset of the meeting, the delegation of Majlis Al-Shura provided a brief about Majlis Al-Shura and its regulatory role, pointing out that consultative practice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia contributes to development of the governmental work. The members of the Saudi delegation highlighted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a part of a region surrounded by difficult conditions which needs concerted international powers to save the region from the conflicts threatening the security and stability of the entire world, stressing the Russian role and stances regarding the regional issues, particularly supporting the Palestinian right against Israeli occupation. "The contacts made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud with a number of leaders in the world and political activities in Riyadh aim to maintain the international security and stability through participation and coalition in addressing challenges and maintaining stability in the region," the delegation of the council said.
