The overnight fight occurred after an attack by gunmen upon a police patrol vehicle in the suburbs of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. Police official Gul Zaman said that police retaliated, leading to the gunfight. "Two militants and one policeman were killed.
