Havana, Shawwal 29, 1436, Aug 14, 2015, SPA -- US Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Cuba Friday, for a historic visit during which he is to formally open the US Embassy in Havana after 54 years without diplomatic relations, dpa reported. Kerry became the first US secretary of state to visit Cuba in 70 years. The last chief US diplomat to set foot on the island was Edward Reilley Stettinius, who visited in March 1945 under President Franklin Roosevelt in the closing days of World War II.
