In this context, he called for hard work and cooperation between GCC and EU at international platforms to get the Middle East peace process moving and end the Israeli occupation of Arab territories in accordance with the United Nations resolutions. Regarding Syrian situation, he pointed to the need for a political solution to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people and save Syria and preserve its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity in accordance with the decisions of Geneva (1). The Qatari foreign minister stressed the need for stability in the Gulf region due to its strategic importance. In this context, he drew the attention to the need to have a comprehensive agreement dispelling all regional and international concerns and working to ward off any danger threatening the GCC region. He pointed out that the phenomenon of terrorism is one of the most serious challenges facing the international community, a scourge suffered by many countries of the world, the latest of which was the criminal bombing accident, which occurred last Friday at a mosque in Qatif province, Saudi Arabia.
