Riyadh, 03 March 1437 AH, December 14, 2015, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has participated with a delegation from Commission of Communications and Information Technology and National Committee of Information Society in the negotiations currently taking place in New York for the comprehensive review of the implementation of World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). The Group of Seventy Seven, whose membership includes 134 countries, has nominated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, China, Brazil and South Africa from the Group of (WSIS) to lead the review by the United Nation of the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society. The comprehensive review process is an important historical station at the international level as it is planned to adopt the outcomes of negotiations at the high-level meeting of the General Assembly to be held on 15 and 16 December at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has played a prominent role in following up the implementation of the summit outcomes and served as Vice President for Asia and Pacific Group in the Committee on Science and Technology for Development Purposes of Economic and Social Council of the United Nations concerning annual follow-up to implement the Summit's outcomes . -- SPA 11:54 LOCAL TIME 08:54 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
